The secret is in productizing your knowledge and expertise and making it into an online fitness information product.
Whether your goal is to create a recipe or diet ebook, muscle building, athletics, or fat loss workouts and videos, or a membership site and community that will allow you to reach and help more people, the formula is the same.
1) THE HOOK – What makes your program or product different than what’s out there now?
Is it a kettlebell only program? Is it a workout with only body weight exercises? Is it the most intense and challenging workout ever? Or a 21 day detox diet? Or unique recipes that taste amazing but are under 300 calories per serving? WHAT’S YOUR BIG IDEA?
2) THE PRODUCT – how will your program be delivered and used?
A book, DVD, or follow along videos? Do you give them the videos all at once or “drip” the content over a period of time? Will you have a membership site with recurring payments or will this be a one time sale? Will you have up-sells in place? If so, what format will they be delivered in and what additional value will they add?
3) THE SALES COPY – Without a well written sales copy or video sales letter (the talking power point types that you’ve seen) your product will never sell and affiliates will avoid it like the plague.
Here’s my 4 step formula for crafting killer sales copy…
A. Benefit rich and specific results promising headline
B. Open your sales message with a story that creates desire and opens a loop (to be closed later in your sales message).
C. Craft your irresistible offer and back it up with fact, science, and social proof.
D. Ask them to take action and give them a reason to (fear of loss, desire to gain, a sense of urgency).
4) SET UP YOUR LEAD GETTING FUNNEL – You can’t count on affiliates and joint venture partners alone to help you make sales.
The fastest and most consistent source of new leads is through setting up your marketing funnel… this may be though Facebook, YouTube, Google Pay Per Click, or all of the above.
For me and many of my friends and coaching clients the best lead getting funnels are a variation one of these two…
A. Ad > opt in page > to low barrier offer > micro (dollar amount) continuity
B. Ad > high value/low priced offer > 3 up-sells > indoctrination/more offers
Those are the four things that make up a profitable and quickly successful online info business…
